Dive #156: Cove 2, West Seattle

Place:Cove 2 Buddy:Doug
Weather:Fine Type:Shore
Max. depth (m):32.0 Visibility (m):10
Time down:20:27 Dive time (mins):50
Average depth (m):16.4 Water temp. (C):12.0

Notes: Dive #6 in drysuit. Nice dive overall. Still having trouble during the ascent though. Nothing out of control, but a constant feeling that I’m not able to dump enough from the suit and here and there, of being tugged upwards.

Equipment: Bigger tank (104). 16 lb weight (+ backplate with STA). Forgot to charge Halcyon light so used HOG light. First dive with long hose/short hose configuration. Worked ok, but the short hose length is really designed, I think, for diving twins. Used imperial SPG for the first time too. Used bigger clip on SPG which made it a bit easier to clip off though I still had difficulty. Need to trim the webbing because the excess length gets in the way of the left D-ring for clipping SPG.

Accumulated time underwater: 4 days, 9 hours and 8 minutes.
