Notes: The final dive of the PADI DM course. Eithne and I took Henry and Dave on a guided shore dive around Clifton Gardens. Instead of keeping it simple we chose a more convoluted dive plan: descending at the Plunge wharf and making our way via the chains to the Clifton Gardens wharf and shark net. The navigation went slightly awry (I chose the wrong chain to follow). There was a bit of confusion and backtracking and the dive was half over by the time we got to the site proper. In the meantime Henry was doing his best to run out of air by covertly purging his AAS. He looked like a giant cloud of bubbles most of the time. He did not manage to empty his tank but he did successfully lose us briefly right at the end. We met a group of photographers crawling on the seabed and mucking up the vis in the process and he took his chance. So, navigationally it was a bit of a disaster and we didn’t do a great job pointing out interesting things but the penultimate DM box did get ticked. Only the EFR course to go.

Accumulated time underwater: 4 days, 0 hours and 24 minutes.
